Winter Sports
With 80 kilometres of pistes and 20 modern lifts, the Grossarl Valley is the perfect destination for a winter holiday. State-of-the-art snowmaking equipment and an altitude of 920 metres mean snow is guaranteed while the wide range of pistes cater to all ability levels. The Schiederhof is located right by the ski bus stop and the ski area is just five minutes away.

The Grossarltal-Dorfgastein ski area has made a special name for itself when it comes to piste maintenance. In fact, it has received a number of awards for its efforts. Night after night, 23 modern snowcats are hard at work, grooming all the pistes in the ski area and guaranteeing you will be able to cut your own fresh tracks across a pristine carpet of white the very next morning.

Snowpark
Snowpark Grossarltal – the start is just a bit beyond the Sonnenbahn mountain station on the valley side. With 2 lines and a length of around 500 m, you have a great opportunity to show everyone what you have in your bag of tricks. The snowpark is a real highlight for children and youths, though adults are always a welcome sight here as well. Pros and non-pros alike find the excitement they seek on kickers, a butter box, rainbow butter box, mushroom and so much more. It’s definitely time for some serious jibbing!
Tour Retour
If you think you have seen everything in Grossarltal, the so-called “Tour Retour” will give you a chance to get to know a whole new, yet also old side of the ski area. Along Ski Route 11, you will be able to enjoy the magical scenery at the foot of the Schuhflicker. This route is maintained from time to time, making it recommended for everyone.

Funslope – Kids fun & adventure area
The ideal “playground” for youngsters wanting to playfully enjoy their first skiing experiences. They’ll be assisted, motivated and challenged by a moguls hill, slalom course, snow tunnel and a versatility course. The Kreuzhöhe platter lift provides a nice safe way to get back up the hill – even for the littlest “dudes”. In the valley you can use the Fischbacher lift.
Free ski bus
For all skiers who prefer not to make their way to the valley lift terminals on foot, yet still want to enjoy a break from driving their own car, the Grossarl Lift Company offers a free ski bus throughout the valley.
Free WIFI
The free Ski amadé WiFi system is also available to you in the Grossarltal-Dorfgastein ski area. There are hotspotsat every lift station as well as at the “Natur Platzl”, “Sonnen Platzl”, “Servus Platzl”, “Gamsjaga Platzl” and “Glockner Platzl”. There you can easily surf the Internet for free and without having to log in. There is also a free WiFi at the tourist office Grossarl.
Snow reliability
The Grossarltal-Dorfgastein ski area is more snow-safe. Over 90 % of the slopes have snowmaking capability. In 2016, the Grossarl Mountain Lifts invested more than € 8 million in the snowmaking possibilities. This means, the capability of snowmaking is nearly doubled.
Ski amadé Guide
Free ski app, so you can keep your bearings wherever you are in the ski area using your smartphone. This app shows you the pistes, lifts, ski huts, suggests specific routes based on your personal skiing skills, uses the integrated piste GPS to take you to your exact destination, and much more.

We are happy to offer you this special experience, accompanied by us, every Wednesday – meets at 7:15 a.m. Participation limited to 25 people.
